$120 is basically regular price for these anywhere you look, give or take $10, and basically any B&M is going to have a better/easier return policy. For example, if you buy them at REI you have a year to use and return an item.

just_in_motionAmazon has the 2019 version in regular length for $127 at this moment. They were on sale at REI a month ago for less than $120. BackCountry, Rugged Outdoors, Moosejaw and several others all have them on sale for $120.

Can I buy 2 sleeping bags with opposite zipper directions so I'll be able to connect them together?

How can the Cosmic women’s have 5 oz more full and still have the same rating -7C)? And weigh 3 lbs? Something isn’t adding up...

Tctower12The temperature rating is not "survival" temp, it's based on comfort which is determined by sex. As far as I'm aware sleeping bags are universally rated this way via the European Norm and International Standards Organization as an attempt to give consumers an accurate comparison between brands and fill types.

Re: Murphy's Law. Dear Massdrop, Please help eliminate the possibility of being Whacked by Murphy's Law! For All that have joined this drop, I respectfully ask that Massdrop Extend this drop until Black Friday!!!  I am seriously looking for an awesome sleeping bag and would prefer 800d fill, more compact-able & lighter, but the Price on this one is to hard to pass on and as usual I'll jump on this one and BAMM....... there will be a better option come Black Friday! Plus it will give you a little time to add a few extra colors for the Women...... Please consider. Cheers

I have the cosmic 20 in long and it's a great bag. However, if you're in no rush in getting a sleeping bag, hold off. Cosmic bags go on sale occasionally, lowest I've seen the Cosmic 20 was $80 from Dicks last year

I'm new to Massdrop. I have requested the Kelty Cosmic Sleeping bag but it is listed as "Drop Inactive." What does that mean? How long typically does it take for an item to become active? Thanks!

I purchased the 0° long version of this bag during a drop 2 years ago, and I think it was a good purchase overall. The bag is well-made, doesn't leak feathers, and is crazy-warm. (I used it last week with temps in the mid-20s and woke up sweating in my light wool baselayer.) The two biggest drawbacks to these bags involve weight and compressability. As a bike tourer (as opposed to a hiker), the extra pound or so normally wouldn't be that big of a price to pay to sleep warm throughout the winter; but what made me eventually purchase a different (800FP) bag was the fact that, even inside a tightly-cinched compression sack, this bag takes up an entire Ortlieb (front) pannier. (If I had to guess, I would say that this is due to its thicker, down-proof exterior.) Still, for front-country, short-term, or car camping, the Cosmic Down bags are a great value, especially when purchased through Massdrop.
