Solid tent. Bought and used the TN2 for my girlfriend and I for a week backpacking in Denali, AK and I worked great. Now we use it on almost every trip we take. I would recommend this tent to for any one-person or two-person camping!

This tent rocks. The footprint actually fits right (apparently a lot of *matching* footprints don't fit their tents right, e.g. REI Half Dome). The tent goes up quickly, with color-coded poles and attachment points. I especially love the twist-lock hooks; they are a joy to use, especially so if you have ever tried to get snapping tent hooks off poles with cold or wet hands. I found the TN2 would be pretty tight for 2 people, with basically no room for any gear like a small daypack inside the tent. Thankfully, there are vestibules on both sides. As a 1 person tent, it's nice and roomy, with room for a day pack, some clothes strewn about the edges, and misc stuff also strewn about. I did find that this tent isn't very long though; as a slightly-above-average-height guy (5'10") I find that my pad (NeoAir XTherm) reaches from one end to the next, and there is a narrow spot in the center of the pad where neither my head nor my feet are touching the tent. It is a little easy to slide on the pad and end up touching the tent wall. Thankfully even though this happened to me, even on dewy mornings, I never had any problem with dew on the walls or getting my gear wet. The ventilation is great since almost the whole tent is mesh, and the rain fly's little vents seem to work well. Speaking of mesh, it would be really nice to have a mesh pouch that hangs at the top of the tent, for things like a watch, glasses, head lamp, etc. The main downside of this tent is the weight, of course. It's not something I want to bring on a multi-day section hike again, but I would do so if there were no good hammock spots where I was going. You can't use the fly by itself in case you might want to do that; it clips into the tent and cannot be staked down by itself, plus it has no way to secure the poles for the freestanding shape. It's all or nothin with this tent, which is fine by me. But you're looking at ~5lbs with the tent, fly, footprint, poles, stakes, and bag(s) for the stuff. What makes it worth it is that this tent is thoughtfully made and it's cheap as heck compared to a more UL-friendly tent like the Copper Spur series. I like this tent enough to write this rambling review for it. Buy it! If nothing else, it's a good backup/loaner/non-UL tent.

This is actually 4.5 stars for the TN4. We already own the TN2 and wanted some more space for car camping option. Identical set up as TN2--color coded and easy to set up in five minutes or less. The reason this is not five stars is due to the small vestible space (also identical to TN2) which meant the gear came into the tent during the rain. Withstood rainstorm and quality product for economical price.

I love this tent. It is well-designed, well-made, easy to set up. I bought the 2P tent and it is palatial. It rained, but not a drop got inside. I wouldn't take this hiking, unless I was going to hike into a spot I was going to stay awhile, it's a little too heavy for long backpacking, but for short trips or car camping, it's my go to tent. You can't go wrong with this tent. It is replacing my 25 year old Kelty tent that a coyote peed on and is too smelly to continue with, but even that 25 year old tent still works flawlessly. Kelty tents are quality tents in my experience.

My only comment is that there should be an instruction on how to assemble the fly properly. As there was no instruction, I have to really fundle around and try to figure it out at the end which took me a while.

Great lightweight tent, not a lot of frills but I bought it for the weight and the double doors. Very quick and easy to set up and as usual a great price from Massdrop. An excellent tent for a 5'2" person to dress in the early a.m. plus lots of extra room for my Doxie.

For the Massdrop price it's a decent deal. I'm not even 6 feet tall and laying the long way my head and feet almost touch the walls. I bought it for my daughter so it's perfect for her.

Bought the TN2 a while ago and used the tent during a hike through the desert in Jordan, at some festivals and on a motorbike trip. Packed size is quite small and due to the square shape it fits in my motorbike aluminium boxes. It's lightweight enough for longer hikes and has enough space to house 2 persons and gear comfortably.

Would have given it a 5 if massdrop hadn't run out of footprints for the TN3. Dissappointed.
