Damn that knife looks nice, unfortunately it has assisted opening, which is illegal in my country :(

AxonteerYou might wanna check on the specifics of that regulation - most of those laws are specifically targeted at spring loaded knives. This is essentially just a lever on the backside of the blade. It's meant to make opening the knife safer, rather than faster.

Dr.McCoyIndeed Switzerland strictly banns anything that is spring loaded or a switchblade / butterfly blade. So basically if you can operate it one handed and its automated, its banned. (plus some regulations on lengh and that stuff)
Thing is, when i dug into more pictures, this one has a torsion bar that takes over as soon as your thumb overcomes the force that locks the blade in the closed position.
As per swiss law, no weapons are knife that are onehanded manually operated without any mechanical mechanism. Ive checked out some maintenance videos on the knife or similar speed assisted ones and a big part of the knife is driven by the torsion bar. Since even buying (and importing) can get you into legal trouble here, i will stay away from it as i could not find a reliable source which stated "yes, i bought a speedsafe assisted opening knife from kershaw and they said it was fine".
