pooteRsWith the S30V blade? I am not certain you can get for that price.
This Kershaw only for the right-hander. Spyderco are more friendly to the southpaw.
pooteRsThe S30V steel never goes below 70, you probably got the Sandvik 14C28N steel model. Sandvik 14C28N steel holds a razor sharp edge longer but the S30V dulls slower. The S30V is a harder steel meant for more utility while the 14C28N sharpens significantly easier. It is a toss-up as to which is better, just know that the S30V is significantly more work to sharpen properly.
pooteRsMaybe not a strict requirement, but it does perform better in terms of edge retention, and for some people that can actually be a pretty noticeable difference. I can take a 14C28N blade from popping hairs off my arm to tearing paper in less than a day of work. Not that 14C28N is a bad steel (it's actually one of my favorites for the price) but just because you don't require an upgrade doesn't mean it's not nice to have.
