I have several of these. well built but they weigh a TON. I now carry the Spyderco Stretch and prefer it.

Joe12PackG10 or FRN Stretch?
I find the Blur's weight to be an acceptable, and Nutnfancy approved, 3.9 oz.

defgI own several G10 Blur's. They are great knives. However the SpyderCo's are just little bit more superior in every way. Crazy sharp from the factory, better jimping, lighter and the steeper angle of the blade near the tip is more useful whereas the Blur is more flat across the entire blade which makes it more of a one dimensional knife. The weight is what does it for me. As NutnFancy says-- it's all about weight especially in a WROL situation and I found as an EDC I was reaching for the SpyderCo every morning before work because the Blur's heft could be felt in my pocket.

Joe12PackI'll admit my 1670BWBR Blur doesn't see a lot of pocket time. It was basically kicked out of the pocket by the Air, Dice, Manix, PM2... a lot of Spydercos, lol. I still consider it a bit of a "classic" so I think it has a place in the collection. If I did not own one already, I'd pick this knife up. I love blue and I like S30V.

Joe12PackSpyderco what? They must have a hundred different models currently for sale. Agree on Spyderco's jimping. It really grabs your thumb. I really like the Resilience , even though it is one of their economy models, because it fits my hand perfectly. I do like the Blur and would love it at a half inch larger overall. Kershaw has assured me they will not be making a larger one unfortunately. I could really go for a Blur XL.

Joe12PackThe blur is a tough, dependable knife, and the weight isn't really that big of a deal. In fact I'd rather have a tougher knife that can take some abuse if it's the only one I will have. Maybe I just have better pants than most people, but I have carried much heavier knives than a blur and never once did I think "gosh this is so heavy how can I keep going" I don't understand why people keep listening to nutnfancy.

ponagathosSpyderco Stretch is the one I was talking about that is superior to the Blur -- I replied to an earlier post mentioning that. I own many Kershaws and they are great knives but this is my personal opinion (I'm a knife nut-- own over 30 different knives). Also the Amazon site lists Stretch as 4.8oz but the actual weight is 90grams (3.17 oz with clip) so it's almost 20% lighter than the Blur.

Joe12Pack@Joe12Pack I have not handled the Stretch but that is a good looking knife. I see what you mean about the blade shape. I tend to switch up EDC depending on mood and what I am wearing. Usually not overly concerned about weight unless wearing jogging shorts or similar. I carried a Benchmade Pardue for years and that is probably the lightest knife I own that would be considered a full size folder. Probably not as tough as most Kershaw or Spyderco but I do like the axis lock.
I too own dozens of knives so have been trying to resist buying anything new.

ponagathosIt seemed like Mr. 12Pack was doing an apples/grenades comparison. I'm not familiar with this board, I may have replied to the wrong post. But still...
