Drop (Massdrop at the time) originally messed up the order and distribution of these knives (ordered standard blade, got the combo, others were vice versa). I ended up getting one of each; one standard tanto blade, one combo tanto blade. These ended up being my second and third Kershaw Blur's considering I already had a plain drop point olive green Blur that was my EDC for about 2 years. Have to say the Tiger Stripe is pretty awesome and really stands out. Like others have said it always turns heads and gets questions, especially with the high quality Speedsafe assisted open. There are multiple options for the type of blade steel, this one being BDZ1 tool steel, but you can also get the Blur in standard Sandvik steel or in the pricer Japanese VG10. The Zero Tolerance 0350, Kershaw OSO and other knives under the Kai banner use the Speedsafe mechanism and it is probably my favorite overall assisted open design with a great feel in the hand that does not take to much pressure to flick it into the lock position. Also very easy to close one handed unlike certain other brands with different lockout mechanisms. Would definitely recommend, in whichever steel fits your workload!
