Nice little folder
While shiny out of the box, the knife immediately started to develop a patina that is the whole reason I wanted it, and the Kershaw name. Definitely worth the Drop price, couldn't find it anywhere else for that, most placed wanted at least $20 more.

Excellent EDC folder
So far, so good. Great knife for the price. And since studies have shown that covid-19 denatures more rapidly on copper than other hard surfaces...all the better.

This knife comes with an interesting set of features that may appeal to some but not so much to others. As you can see in the photos below, it is a small knife; my medium sized hands grips the knife comfortable with three fingers. The pinkie sort-of touches a bit at the rear but doesn't really aid the grip in any significant way. The handle design is comfortable with no obvious hotspots and the thumb sits nicely over the jimping and travels easily up the blade as the spine has no chamfers and give full support. People who intend to use this choked up might want to add some jimping along the spine themselves however. As you'd expect from a knife with copper scales, it feels hefty in the hand. Particularly when you consider its small size. Even though it disappears into the pocket, the weight is noticeable. The weight is particularly noticeable compared to its fancier brother ZT450CF (both Kershaw and ZT are owned by KAI) which is both longer and lighter due to weight optimised materials and design. It is also heavier than the all steel Leek, which is a few mm longer as well. The D2 steel is a bit ho-hum nowadays, but I personally appreciate its toughness. The edge certainly doesn't get as crisp as S30V/S35VN which can be found in fancier knives, or the far superior M390 which can be had for the same price in the crazy good value proposition of the Kershaw Link or Dividend. So if you are a person who would appreciate a small but hefty manual flipper with a budget tool steel blade, this knife may well be for you. If you're the kinda guy who loves the rugged used look you get from patina, and can't wait to mix up vinegar, salt and ammonia to get the right shade of blue-green on your copper scales, I would definitely recommend this knife. For the person who wants a high performance super steel, high tech materials and super light weight, this is a one-star review.

Very good
If you have large hands it will feel a little small. The quality it good and it has good fit and finish. Be aware the copper will tarnish and turn green on you depending on handling and use

This knife is not as advertised. This is NOT a speedsafe knife. The overall measurements are all wrong also. The advertised overall length is 7.5" and it is actually 6 3/8". Advertised handle length is 4.25" and is actually 3 5/8". The advertised blade length is 3.25" and is actually 2 3/4". So the actual knife is ok and would get a 4 out of 5 stars. This is the 3rd knife drop I've received from massdrop that was not as advertised. I can get over the measurements being wrong but this is not a speedsafe assisted knife as advertised. I've submitted a support ticket and will update with the results.

Gunnersmate2They're giving everyone a $10 refund, and are offering full refunds to anyone who wants it, while also letting you keep the $10. When I saw discussions saying this wasn't a speedsafe, I looked up the proper specs, and so I wasn't surprised by what I got, and quite like it. And I am not a fan of the speedsafe mechanism, so when I saw it *wasn't* speedsafe, that's what sealed the deal for me.

Compared to the blowout with my previous purchase of the Artisan Hornet I was a bit concerned about the Kershaw although I had grown fond of their backwash line as they solid work knifes and gifts. I have to say upon receipt the Natrix turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I have not sen any of the complaints mentioned by other users although the grind could be better (although eventually it gets sharpened anyway so I dont really care). More importantly, the fit and finish on at least this knife is quite nice. It opens smooth, is centered, does not rub and does not have the feel it requires break in. Edges on this knife do not have the sharp charaters noted by some users. The only issue I have with it is its relatively small size at least for my hands, although it still works for EDC purposes. Size comparison below. Overall, I like the knife and it's a good buy at least the little I know. -1 star bc of size but that may not hold true for everybody.

KiefofpoliceStimulus. They've made very slight, nearly inconsequently, changes to the design from rev 1 to rev 2. It is my primary carry and I had it for more than a decade of professional use. In fact, I have 4 or 5 of them (can`t remember) bc I got worried enough about not having one that buying a lifetime supply was the easiest option. Its is small enough to carry in a pocket or boot and big enough to do everything it is designed for. Benchmade for while had issues with springs break In (those I couldn't get as spares) but they must have fixed that as I have not had any breaks for over 2 years. Its a fantastic auto and it has served me very, very well. Can't say enough good things about it.

A unique look in a knife
I bought it because of the unique copper frame that should patina with time. The blade was centered with a decent grind and it snaps open with authority. The description mistates that is has the Speed Safe assisted opening system. Lock up is about 70 percent. I like the small flipper tab. It's heavy for it's size which is due to it's construction. The only issue so far is the lock bar is stiff which sometimes makes a 2 hand closer.

Pretty good knife
So, here I am a year into owning this knife. It holds an edge O.K.; I use it for just about anything, so I give it a fair shake on the edge. It's finally starting to get a little bit of a patina, but still not as much of one as I would like. Overall, a pretty good knife for the price.

Smaller Than it Looms
It's nice, it has a nice smooth action and doesn't instantly need a cleaning like some other brands. It has a good weight but it is a small knife. I now use it as a backup in my that is kept in my bag.
