Ernest Emerson may be best known for his famous Emerson Wave opening mechanism, but he’s got a sizeable collection of other designs under his belt that are nothing to shake a stick at, either. The CQC-9K is designed for hard use, which you may have guessed by looking at its heavily recurved 3.6-inch drop-point blade Read More
Love the knife. Good steel and grips and the liner lock is not thin metal like most. It is a great quality knife, especially for the price, and I look forward to carrying it.
Disc is for opening the blade with your thumb. Mine was a little stiff to use the disc but I will be using the pocket hook to open it anyway. Eventually the blade will loosen and the disc would be easier to use.
These knives open a little easier than a real Emerson so they won’t destroy your pants. Also this price point is perfect for a functional Chinese made folding knife.
I've had this knife for awhile and absolutely love it. I think it's the best Emerson design where the wave disappears when the knife is opened. I've always wanted a version of it with better steel. Wish Kershaw/ZT made an upgraded version.
