Amazon had this exact knife for $93 with free shipping for Prime. They need to fix $9 shipping cost for domestic addresses before I consider buying from them at near-retail prices.
Damascus steel is great for a knife edge. With use, the various steels will wear at different rates resulting in minute serrations. The result is a long-lasting, well-cutting edge. Also, various steels can combine the qualities of strength with hardness. I highly recommend using the stud for "flipping" open the knife. I have a Kershaw Blur with the stud and several other Kershaws with the "flipper". While both methods can be good, with practice, I have found that the stud allows for very quick, very natural handling. I can easily open and use my Blur without even thinking about the process.
Something to note, getting it from KnifeCenter gets you free shipping in the U.S. and is 97.95, shipping from MD won't go out until next month and is 97.74 (base price) with shipping.
