I'm a big fan of the Kershaw Emersons and have most of them. They are designed by Emerson in the US and made in China to Kershaw's specs.
This model is not nearly as good as my two favorites: the 6K (Kershaw model 6034) and 7K (the tanto version, the 6034T.)
The 2K has a paint-like black covering, which doesn't stand up to even moderate use and looks cheap.
The lock on mine is very sticky, unlike my other Kershaw Emersons. The slightly recurved blade makes it harder to sharpen. Just about the only plus is its size -- a 2.75 inch blade -- for fans of smaller pocket knives like me.
The 6K and 7K are slightly larger, with 3.25 inch blades, but they are bargains among moderately priced folding knives.
I hope this helps.
