Worth the price of admission. Very neat little knife. I find the Emerson Wave feature is more consistent on my Spyderco Delica, though.

VgexDo you believe that is because of the opening smoothness and overall weight and not the position of the wave feature itself?

zipsurfI have the Spyderco Matriarch, Endura and Delica with the Emerson Opener. They are all definitely smoother to open then any of the Kershaw Emerson knives I own. But the only Kershaw I have a problem waving is the CQC-4K(regular size, the XL is great). The Spyderco knives are smoother, lighter and have better steel. The Kershaw knives are cheaper and built like tanks, more akin to the original Emersons. I believe the harder opening of the Kershaws is due to them in general being tighter even after adjusting the pivot. Not sure if it has to due with washers used, overall fit and finish or some combination. I like the size of the CQC-4K XL and often carry it when wearing jeans. The Spydercos get more use in the summer because they are lighter and easier on lightweight shorts.
