I kinda feel bad for everyone who has bought this knife. It's a pretty bad design. I own plenty of actual Emersons, and at one point I owned every single one of the Kershaw 8cr Emerson design knives. This knife was the first one I sold off. What irritated me specifically? Well, for one thing, if you are trying to cut through media like, say, cardboard, the thumbdisk is absolutely in the way. It's more to do with how small the blade is overall, so you're forced to use the blade right above the handle. A longer knife (like most Emersons) don't tend to have this issue.

I agree, the blade looks like it would be super practical but the curve makes cutting with it a bit funky, especially on a flat surface. I didn't think I'd like the 7K but it's turned out to be much more useful.
