Worst Kershaw knife I've ever owned (US, Japan, and China made). Came with blade way off center and pivots that felt like sand paper. After taking apart to clean, lube, and align it is now closer to center. It opens smoother (on nylon bushing BTW) but the lock bar is at best 20-30% engaged and sometimes doesn't engage enough to prevent closing with just a minor amount of pressure. The jimping is weak as well, no real bite to it. I know this is a cheap knife but my Cryo from Kershaw (also China made) is significantly better quality of construction.
Hey @CascadianAaron - Sounds like you may have a defective unit there, we'd be glad to setup an exchange or refund if you'd like to contact our Help Desk - just go to My Transactions in your profile if you'd like to submit a ticket. Thanks for reporting back, hope it smooths out or we can get you a new one.
Good to know we're backed by awesome customer service!
Yes, I will be sending it back. I tried to give it some break-in time but it still doesn't lock correctly and I've now cut myself twice from the blade closing on my hand.
