For $24, I might have to pick up one or two as gifts. I think I paid at least $25 for mine. I probably order enuf stuff where the S&H were free.

Pretty sad about the new kershaw policy of not shipping out of USA I have several of their knives purchased from drop in the past and they are great value - very sad I can no longer purchase any of this brand as I am outside usa :(

Makin' bacon! I have this knife and I like it. It doesn't seem to hold an edge as well as my Manix 2 with S90V, but I have been known to sharpen a knife or two. I don't have any regrets. Except when I think of the totality of my nickel and dime Kershaw purchases, I probably could have gotten a Sebenza. I'm not sure that I want one. That is, I'm not sure I want to buy one. I would be happy to have one.

My go to EDC knife, I carry mostly for self defense. Fast and addicting speedsafe, it always has a good snap even after doing it for little over a year. I have never sharpened this since receiving it and edge retention is really good. My tip is a little bent but from negligence but not quality, I thought the tip would of broke off but seems the tempered spine is holding up toward the tip. The design is very aggressive and the handle designed for me feels really good for holding the blade downward or upward. If this was to be improved I would only ask for better clip retention and overall lighter weight. Buy it you wont regret it.

I'll never understand these people who talk about carrying this knife or that knife for personal defense. To each his own but reality is a knife is one of the worst choices for this purpose. And it never fails to be a rather small tactical folder. Which in itself is far from the best choice for self defense. Generally you would want a fixed blade with a little more blade length and a more ergonomic handle. I know this because i was stabbed 17 times during a fist fight that i was winning outside a bar in my early 20s. It didnt stop him from getting the brakes beat off him. I didn't even know i had been stabbed till a few miles down the road when i felt my boot filling up with blood. I guess my point is dont walk around with false confidence in a knife to save your ass. Your better off with can of mace or something where you dont have to be so close for it to be effective. If the situation turns in to a struggle you stand about the same risk of being injured by your blade as your attacker. If you are a responsible person without a drug or alcohol problem or a short temper you cant go wrong exercising your second amendment right. But if thats not you at least look into a good fixed blade. Cold steel has some nice choices in this category very reasonably priced. Take care and be safe.

I never mentioned anything about personal defense. No idea where that came from. You said "I might buy a Kershaw some time if they quit using garbage steel" so I sent you a hyperlink to bladehq where they are selling a couple Kershaws in Bohler M390..which is an excellent steel.

M390 is one of the best on the market at this point. A pain in the ass to sharpen, but it retains it's edge for an absurdly long time.

Does anyone know about the liner lock not functioning properly? I've yet to handle the knife myself, but my friend claims and demonstrates the lock malfunctioning.

I bought this off amazon a while back and carry it everyday. I have not had any issues with the blade not locking.

The action on Kershaw knives is so addictive, and this one is a perfect fit in my hand. I've had a hard time putting it down since it arrived.

Just received my new “fat back “ love the look, great action. Size was also a plus deep clip rides nice in pocket. Definitely good EDC. Wixhsh they made one with upgraded materials and manual flip. Spring lock is a bit tight to close. Good buy!
