2 drops in a row on the same product, blaming the vendor? I'm thinking it's a bait and switch scam hoping people didn't notice.

ForrestJohnsonTwo drops in a row? That's what is making me wonder if mass drop doesn't have a contract for the WM knives and not the higher quality 8100.
It's reasons like this that I always start off with a small order from any place I haven't ordered from before. This will be my last order with mass drop.

ChadwBut people are getting 8100s, and the last time a drop I joined had issues they gave everyone affected a 5 dollar refund to apologize for the late shipping, I'm going to with hold judgement until I hear back from support.

ChadwI received the 8100. It seems some people were just unlucky. As Nelson said above, it appears to be true that Kershaw messed up and mixed in some 8100WMs.
Really not Massdrop's fault, but I would also be frustrated if I received the 8100WM.

ChakLongThe bigger point, if I was looking for a Wal-Mart quality knife, I'd have bought it from Wal-Mart. The cost would have been about equal now. The number of people affected by this between both drops isn't making sense.
Also to those who claim they didn't get the WM version, check your box and see if it's got an orange dot with a number on it. I think the WM package, at least mine did, ships with it already on the box.

ChadwThe blade has the model number so thats the best way to check, I have seen both in person trust me people are getting 8100s not just 8100WMs.

ForrestJohnsonThe very fact you say "trust me" indicates one shouldn't. But your right, I'll not wait on a reply from mass drop, I'll just file a consumer complaint with the FTC, they love cases like this.

ChadwI don't know what to tell you man I'm holding an 8100 right now.
And if you did submit a ticket you should get a response tomorrow I wouldn't really expect to hear from them on the weekend.
