I just checked the box and there is an 8100 sticker placed over an 8100WM.

mitsuIt says here that 2484 people have bought it and the number of complaints is maybe 1 to 2 percent, so hopefully those get replaced. It's an amazingly good knife, and I also ordered the red version from another site.

dalethornWhere does it say 2484 people have ordered this? There are 761 on this drop, 500 on the previous. That's 1261 at best.
Next, what percentage do you think even participate on the discussion? I haven't seen 1261 individual commenters.. So from there you need to rethink how your interpolating your percentages. I think once you do you will find it to be a far higher percentage.

ChadwI'm looking at 2484 right now. Scroll down more and you'll find it. I don't think it matters that few people normally post here - if enough people get bad knives we'll see a lot more complaints. I got the red knife today - amazing quality. If there's a way I could get numbers or word of a plan to replace them I'll share what I know here. I've worked in warehouse and shipping for decades, and a bunch of 'WM' items being mixed in with the good stock doesn't surprise me at all. So far I've been lucky and everything I ordered was perfect, and I really don't want to have a bad experience in the future. That's why I'm so interested in this.
