czg5That Leek has a blade made from Sandvik 14C28N Steel and a Frame Lock, this one has an Elmax (super steel) blade with a Liner Lock. So better steel and different locking system.
I have a Leek with the Sandvik steel and love it, but I would have picked this one up if I didn't have one.
czg5The Elmax is a much better steel. I have some of KAI'S Zero Tolerance Elmax blades and love the sharpness logevity of the "super steel." I'll enjoy this Leek.
Doing my public service over here: please use the safety if you pocket this knife.
Sliced up my thigh the other day, like an idiot.
If you buy, always use the safety in your pocket.

Can't hardly find a decent price on the s30v g-10 leeks from a couple years ago. Wonder if this version will get up there in value in a year or two.
theupandcomingcoreyUnless it stays in production, I'd bet on it. If for no other reason than that people like collecting the variety of Leeks available. This has a unique colored scale in addition to the Elmax steel, so it's hitting two collector sweet spots.
KevinFernandezIf you are talking about the pocket clip, then no, it's not lefty friendly. Yeah I've been equally disappointed by that lately as well. It's caused me to purchase paracord and begin learning how to tie ornate lanyard knots for easy access. Sigh, another random hobby to the list.

Also, this liner lock is not a part of the scales like the Sandvik model (I have both of these) so is much thinner at around 1 mm. I bought mine from Knifecenter as this drop wasn't yet available and have been using it for the past week. The edge has held up against double layer corrugated cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, a handful of 1.5-2 cm branches and is still shaving sharp (was doing this for a friend to compare the Elmax to the Sandvik). I love my leek and this is definitely a tremendous upgrade for my EDC.
One last thing, the anodizing on the scales makes the blade lock almost unusable. It just won't slide well against it. So, I removed mine and have had no problems.
ZacklxThe scales are brown anodized aluminum.
I read on bladeforums.com that this is a 500 unit production run, and then that's it.
I take that to mean no more Elmax Leeks. Or does it mean no more Elmax Leeks with brown aluminum scales? Get em while they're hot.
