Great size, great shape, great action..... WORST STEEL I HAVE EVER OWNED.
Seriously, i bought one as a small work knife and after cutting up a box you can see scratches in the blade.
CatpantsThe steel is OK, the coating is what sucks. I have a similar Kershaw with just the bottle opener. It came razor sharp and it's easy to sharpen. It's cute and all, but if you open with one had you'll end up poking a hole on your thumb. You pretty much gotta use two hands to open it. And the bottle opener, the reason I bought it, sucks royal!
CatpantsIt's a barely-ok cheap Chinese steel. There are far better and far worse steels. Though I can't see your blade, I would bet those scratches are in the cheap coating. Even that 8Cr13MoV steel is hard enough to resist easy scratching.
NarqIt's not the coating, it's actual nicks in the edge itself. First time I thought I'd hit a couple of those copper industrial staples or something but a few sharpenings later i realized it was just normal use. Shame really, it's small, light and it has a really satisfying 1-hand opening feel.
