The Blade
Made from 8CR13MoV stainless steel, the blade is heat-treated for further strength, hardness, and edge retention. Fashioned into a drop-point, the blade features excellent tip strength and holds up well to hardy tasks. Continuing the trend, the handle is made of 410 stainless steel and features the same bead-blasted finish, giving the knife a united aesthetic front.
Deployment
To release the blade, you can press down on the ambidextrous flipper or thumbstud and the Kershaw SpeedSafe assisted opening slides the edge right out. Once released, the blade stays right in place thanks to the frame lock. Also constructed with a 2-position pocketclip and a lanyard hole, the Kershaw Zing SS carries as much convenience as edgy aesthetics.
