Escape the tedium of milk-and-cereal mornings with The Keyboard Waffle Iron. Describing it as “CTRL+ALT+DELicious,” the brains behind this quirky homage to QWERTY has combined all the elements of a top-notch waffle iron—die-cast aluminum exterior, nonstick interior—with a faithful rendering of a standard keyboard Read More

"civil" and "decent" are never defined. I can only take those to mean whatever the mods like. By the Discrimination heading I take that I can get comments that address only guys or all as guys deleted. But I doubt you'd enforce your own guidelines if they contradict your worldview.
Morals and laws vary nonetheless.
alysdexiaI am not a fully functional computer program and instead a basically functioning human, so yes the standards of decency and civility are mostly subject to the mods discretion.

So I bought this. I got it as a gift to our kitchen. My wife said that she had wanted a waffle iron and I was like screw it I'll get this, it'll be neat. I have an induction cook top, this item is aluminum, aluminum is non-magnetic*. Thus I have to use an adapter plate. I could not get that adapter plate anywhere hot enough to keep this iron hot enough to make waffles form let alone get crispy. The few times I did get them to form I still had to throw them in the oven to get them crispy.
I decided maybe this thing isn't great for induction cook tops.... So I decided to throw it on the grill. STILL getting this thing to make crispy waffles was a challenge. I finally figured it out and got it to work, but if you don't keep this iron on direct HIGH heat at all times don't expect it to work.
Learn from my mistake**, don't listen to the website***, if you have an induction cook top avoid this. This device would be so much better if it retained heat better. I'd love to see a cast iron version.
EDIT:
*I knew this going in, but I have the adapter plate.
**Learn from my mistake, use common sense.
***The website apparently does not indicate that this keyboard is compatible with induction cook tops or conduction-adapter-plates.
