Most weren't what I was looking for, but that's the fun

There were a surprising number of low-profile caps that I'll never use (though now makes me wish my laptop weren't, well, what it is), but honestly I did luck out and get some awesome caps in there. One surprise is that I now have a few novelties that work with current sets, and I know that I'll be getting a vomit board sooner or later out of this and maybe a few other grabbags. I don't think there was a full set of anything in there, but I wasn't expecting to. I look forward to the next bag.

It's a great thing for the right collector

I'm happy with my bag. I'm someone that has a few different boards at home and at work. I like to try and get people into the hobby and a lot of times I 'pay it forward' to new people that are getting into tech or the hobby with caps or parts that I don't use but new people would love. So grab bags give me the chance to get something fun and premium and if not, I can hold onto it for someone else to use one day. I even got a copy of a set of caps I already own (mito xda canvas) but I can use them on a different board. Or trade them. I got a nice set of SA caps that I can either trade, or use with a set of SA alphas I have. What this allows you to do is get some cool fun stuff for a good price that you can combine with stuff you already have, or combine with a kit you buy in the future. I feel it's part of the hobby. Yes it would be nice to get a FULL base set or something but that's not going to happen (or maybe it will lol)

I was happy with what I got, even though I couldn't cover a keyboard with keycaps of the same profile. Some were lucky getting GMK stuff but not me, but got to try some SA and XDA. I think it's great for the value and to check out profiles and have a little fun.

Sorry, it's garbage.

I thought buying Signature Plastics grab bag was a mistake, apparently not until I got this. Definitely not expecting getting a full set of GMK for $40 of course. SP's grab bag -> 3 pounds of keys (filled 1 full-sized vomit board with proper SA profile, 1 60% with DSA, and almost another 60% with SA), many novelties, almost the same price. Misleading description about 2 complete 'sets'. I got 1 arrow sets. Really? Right, they've changed the description to 'Kits' Edit: Apparently XDA blanks are considered a kit (hilariously won't even cover a numpad). It seemed like a Tai-Hao grab bag instead.

Full set was incredibly misleading

UPDATE: Looks like they've updated the description to call them kits instead of full sets. Ah yes, they clearly realized they've messed up. Now, what will they do about it I wonder? So you effectively get 4 bags of a set that can be alphas, modifiers or just accent caps. These by no means will populate a keyboard. I got a bag of the Mito canvas alphas which is definitely cool and I've been interested in them but honestly... The rest is pretty awful. Metal keycaps here and there, a SINGLE chocolatier backspace in its own baggy, and the rest I'm not entirely sure of. I'm gunna have to sort and separate and figure out what is meaningful in the bag but I probably wouldn't do this again knowing now that a full set was incredibly misleading.

Fun getting so many keycaps, but description is very misleading.

I'll start with the description for this product.

All bags will include at least one or two random kits and a random assortment of other keycaps Sounds great!, what isn't great is that these are extremely misleading. This does not state that one or two kits means text mods for an obscure set of 10 ortho keys. Also i got an obscene amount of duplicate keys. What was delivered I could not fit any keyboard i own. Textured keys were cool, before opening i thought i could use them for AWSD and game with them! Nah, none of the sets had a W key. Arrow keys i'd get 2,3,4 up arrow keys instead of left right and down. lol Just weird. It was disappointing to realize i couldn't really use these keys. More disappointing still is the fact that i got so many dupes. What am i going to do with 7 of the same caps locks? Also i got some non-cherry compatible switches which was unexpected. Would have been nice to know that was a possibility as well. If they did another grab bag i'd probably get them again with several people so we could trade for fuller more usable sets, but only if they had proper descriptions of what to expect.

Andy_WhoYou might have something of worth at least, that set looks to be the UMKA mod kit GMK Carbon R2. It was $160 from that group buy, so you have that going for you. I got the BEEZARRE alphas in mine.

Misleading Description.

For the most part, this is a grab bag. It has a ton of random selections. However, from the description I was led to believe that I would be getting a whole set of a keycap set on the list they had. This was not the case, as I didn't get enough keycaps to make up a whole set. Other than this, it's what I was expecting.

Good value, questionable decisions

This was the first grab bag I've ever participated in. Overall, I'm more than glad at the amount I received for the cost, but I can't help but feel a bit misled by the product description. See, I was under the impression I would be getting a full set of keys (at least 1). What's going on here is - the two bags on the right (top is XDA Canvas alphas and bottom is SA Danger Zone modifiers) make a "full set". Maybe I'm just not very knowledgeable, but who is out here mixing XDA profile caps with SA profile caps? On top of all this, I received 4 space bars, and every single one of them is 6u. I don't even have a board that will accept 6u. Bottom line is, I'm not upset at the variety, I think it's really neat, especially for a beginner like me who is just starting to amass a collection. But it's not friendly at all to someone who is actually looking to populate a new build with a complete set and have it look uniform. Hopefully down the line I'll be able to put these caps to good use. All that's left is to wait for the other kits to become available so I can complete these incomplete sets.

Misleading product description: "Full set" -> "Full kit"???

As others have outlined, the original description stated that buyers will receive at least 1 FULL SET. It sounded too good to be true...and it turns out it was. Drop, in an attempt to mitigate the backlash, updated their description following the end of the GB and changed their description of "full set" to "full kit". Seems pretty scummy to resort to such tactics to sell. It appears many others also expected to receive full sets to populate a whole keyboard layout with a single grab bag. Makes me reconsider buying any potential future grab bags from Drop. With that said, I'm not wholly disappointed because I feel like I still got a decent assortment although I think the sense of satisfaction simply comes from the enjoyment of getting my first grab bags ever. From 3 purchased grab bags, I was able to assemble two full boards. However, I've seen much better value in other grab bags (Signature Plastics) that people have posted.
