Okay, this is it. I'm typing with the Keycool 84 2S right now, and it feels amazing to me.
This is the first time I buy a Mechanical Keyboard on a very "specialized" community. I already own a Corsair STRAFE RGB with mx Silent, which I really like.
But this, guys, is a 60$ (or 80$ for the rgb version) mechanical keyboard. I bought my strafe for 197$ (170€). I honestly think that, for the price, you can't find anything better than this. I mean, the build quality is so good, it feels "good"!
I'm owning the white one with Gateron Blue RGB. Those effects are all presets, there is no software to customize how it lights up, but you do have a preset loader on the keyboard by pressing FN + END (lightning effects can be changed by FN key combination, like PAUSE / ESC / HOME etc)
The LEDs are so bright! I really am surprised by how much they are bright, like my Corsair is nothing besides this.
The gateron blue are... awesome! I really like the clicky sound. And the keycaps, they feel "expensive"... Like, my fingers are enjoying it!

So yeah, I definitely do recommend this keyboard for anyone who doesn't want to pay a lot. But even if you don't mind about the price, it is an excellent mechanical keyboard.
I hope my review will have helped you a bit!

PS : You can add up to two custom light effects by long pressing FN + PAGE UP / DOWN for three seconds and then light only the keys you want with the colors you want :) Oh and if you messed up something on the keyboard , you can factory reset it by holding ESC + right corner Del + left CTRL + Right arrow for 3 seconds. It will automatically restart and restore the original settings!

Edit: Added a video, not professionnal or anything but it may help some people...

oh no problem, but I should record a new one, this was actually taken on a headbutt , so it's not very good and does not shows the custom rgb layouts etc... But thanks!

Exactly what I wanted.
Absolutely enamored with this keyboard, even a few weeks later. Great tactile feel, nice form factor, and good rgb control. For the money, I haven't had a better keyboard.

I bought two of these in the last drop -- one white with Gateron reds and one black with Gateron blacks. They're pretty nice boards for the price, and should be a solid choice for someone just getting into mechanical keyboards. The lowest-end non-backlit versions in particular are a good deal, so that's what I got. They do feel slightly flimsy compared to more expensive boards, but that's probably not a fair comparison. The stabilized keys are also a little bit rattly, but not that bad, actually. The stock keycaps feel pretty good, but the front-printed legends are a bit fuzzy compared to doubleshot keycaps. I got these boards with the intention of swapping out the keycaps, so this isn't a major concern to me. If you do want to replace the caps, you should be aware that you need a 1.75u shift key, which isn't in a "standard" set (but it is becoming more and more common) and some 1u modifier keys for the keys to the right of the spacebar. Also be aware that the rightmost column of navigation keys (Page Up, Page Down, etc.) are normally in different positions on a standard board, so if you try and use the normal keys they will be the wrong profile (height). For the board in the photo, which uses Tai-Hao Sunshine caps, I was able to get around this by using the keys from the numpad. Overall, I'd say these are very solid boards for around $60, but I might reconsider paying extra for upgrades like RGB backlighting or more expensive switches, since they will take you close to what a higher-end board costs.

I'm no mech aficionado, but I've had a handful of different boards. This one is my favourite for these reasons:
  • layout has all the keys I want from a tenkeyless (function keys are important to us software devs!) but is more compact
  • PBT caps have a textured finish, dampen hard bottoming, and fit snugly on the stem (an issue I had with my SA Oblivion caps from Massdrop.. wobble city..)
  • I love the colour scheme of the caps. The red ESC is a nice accent without being too wild
  • Caps are front-printed so the legends don't wear off
  • USB-C port! Because it's 2019!

IMPORTANT: Keycool products on Massdrop DO NOT have a warranty. Received the Keycool 84 2S on 8/21/2018 and by 10/21/2018, the "Windows" key started sticking. I contacted Massdrop Support and learned the unfortunate truth -- I had 30 days from the date of delivery to report an issue. I ended up getting a second Vortex Race 3 to replace this epic POS.

This keyboard was almost exactly what I was looking for. Detachable USB for easy commute with no tangle, compact but sturdy structure, and most importantly - brown key switches. I love how tactile the brown switches feel and how this keyboard feels most of the time. I have used mechanical keyboards for over a decade now and love the 75% form factor. The problem with 84key boards is that they're scarce. I specifically look for boards that place the function keys directly over the number keys and this fit the bill at an unbeatable price. I have had no performance issues with any of the keys/switches. With that being said straight out of the box this keyboard was off balance. Whether I have the legs up or down this keyboard rocks from the bottom left to the top right. This is not a huge issue as I have just kept a quarter under the shorter leg to balance it out. For $60 (and $.25 to balance the damn thing) this keyboard really is a decent deal.

Did not work out of the box because the wires from the USB plug board to the main board got pinched between the casing during assembly. I soldered in a new connection and it works now but it also freezes every once in a while continuing to press whatever keys I was pressing when it froze making it useless for gaming, the only reason I bought it. I bought a Leopold instead and the quality difference is completely night and day. Just buy a real, quality made and tested board and stay away from this one off garbage.

A Mac user perspective
++About the keyboard The product is good, sturdy and overall well made. Mine wiggles a bit if you press on the top right corner area: I don't know if it's a fabrication defect, a shipping accident or just that the rubber feet are misaligned... but it's kinda annoying. The Gateron brown switches are not super sharp (they're not mushy either but...), anyway they are consistent and work really well, I expected them to be a little more stiff but I actually don't mind how they work. I really dig the side-printed keycaps, but's it hard to find replacements of the same type (if you come across a top row media keys set and/or a Cmd-Opt-Ctrl set for Mac users please let me know!) ++About everything else The packaging could be more robust (see above) but overall it's ok. The keyboard comes with a nice keycap puller and a good quality (albeit a bit long for my taste) usb-c to usb-a cable. I miss the programmability (no QMK, no macros) but I managed to satisfy my needs using Karabiner Elements (MacOS), which still needs some tweaking and has a kinda steep learning curve if you need anything more than basic substitutions, but it let's you do really everything you can imagine if you script a little. tl;dr --> It's a good kb given the price, probably even more so on Windows

It doesn't lie flat! :'( This makes me so sad
The entire keyboard shifts as you type on it, especially the space bar. It rocks back and forth as you type on it and it's not my desk, I've never had this problem before. I hope I can fix this. It isn't fixed when I raise up the legs either.
