Can anyone verify the keycap size needed to replace this set? Looks like everything is 1u except:
tab: 1.5?
capslock: 2?
shift (left): 2.5?
cntrl (left): 1.25?
windows: 1.25?
alt (left): 1.25?
space: 6?
shift (right): 2?
enter: 2.5?
|\ key: 1.5?
backspace: 2?
Just my guesses there. If someone can confirm that would be super-de-duper. Also, is there a name for this complete set (like 60%, planck, etc? I know it's not these, but if it has a name that would be helpful, otherwise, I guess piecemealing it would be the best way?)
Thanks. :)
All keycaps except those colored in red are of standard size and profile.
A tsangan kit will (typically) include the 1.75U Shift you'll need for the right shift. The bottom row Alt, Function, and Control keys are of a non-standard size (only 1 unit wide), but have the usual profile -- you'd need something like the "Text Pro" sets from Matt3o's granite keycap sets, or the "Non Standard Mods" set from the current Otaku keycap set to cover those. The Delete, Page Up, Page Down, and End caps on the far right of the board are the correct size (all 1 unit wide) but are the wrong profile:
The Delete key is usually row 2, but you'd need it to be row 1.
The Page Up key is usually row 1, but you'd need it to be row 2.
The Page Down key is usually row 2, but you'd need it to be row 3.
And the End key is usually row 2, but you'd need it to be row 4.
Obviously, if you get a set that's all the same profile (e.g. Uniform row 3 SA, or DSA), then those profile mismatches don't matter. Otherwise, get ready to replace those caps with blanks, although you can find caps in the proper profile over in 7Bit's Round 5A keycap sale on Deskthority.
