Mechkeys had a barebones kit for $245 but has sold out with no restock info. I also wanted a barebones kit, but I think I'm going to go ahead and get this one before they sell out. There's always a chance they'll release a new version in a year or year and a half but outside of that I don't expect you'll see these again anywhere besides ebay with a 50-100% markup.
So this is north facing. What's the mount? The rotary knob articulates, but is it clickable? Finally, the description states we'd receive a full set of keycaps. Is that really a full set, or does it just mean all the keycaps to cover the switches on this board? Thanks.
It looks like it's south facing if you look at picture 10. That's the main reason I didn't get the original NJ68 (need the backlit keys for working at night). As for keycaps, since there's no set definition of "full set" (some people would put ortho-linear keycaps in that definition, not to mention ISO), I'd be willing to bet it's just the keycaps for this board.
