TheNaturalKnightWell the only problem is that to beginners looking to put key caps on to a board like this it can be a small problem without a guide showing where the keycaps go
While someone on here said that the keyboard looks to be compatible with 5-pin switches, I've never understood what exactly that means. Like, the Choc V1 switches have 5 pins, but does that mean this keyboard is actually compatible with them?
I've been looking for a 60+% keyboard PCB for aforementioned switches and have had very little (by little, I mean no) luck whatsoever.
Would anyone know if this is compatible with said switches?
Pretty much all conversations in mech keys assume cherryMX compatible switches. Choc switches are not cherryMX compatible and usually people will call that out when talking about speciality switches, thin profile switches etc that are not cherryMX.
The cherry MX switches have both a 5pin and a 3 pin variants. 5 pins are more stable and traditionally they were used of PCBs without a plate aka “PCB mount”. 3 Pin switches are typical for plate mount, since the plate offers more stability.
