It's a great light and the focusing mechanism is smooth and gives you a lot of options. The button on the back is easy to press and not light enough that it will get pressed in your pocket or anything, but firm enough to give you a nice cushioned press with a tactile click. Can light up a small room and maybe even a medium one. Felt like a detective carrying this thing around and definitely came in handy.
I really like this light for EDC, but there are smaller and easier to carry lights available that provide an equal amount of light. Easier to carry is relative though, because this light is only slightly bigger than a pen, so it is not intrusive. But I thought it was worth mentioning that there are smaller lights that are just as powerful. The features I really like on this light would be, the deep carry clip, the button (stiff enough to not engage accidentally), and my favorite thing is the adjustability of the light's focus. This allows you to throw light much farther than you would otherwise, great feature.
It seems like just about every flashlight I look at has at least three settings, often a strobe, and has to be covered in random milled ribs and grooves, looking like something collected from a Decepticon's last bowel movement. When I use a flashlight, I want it to have two states of existence: on, and off. I don't want to have to cycle through three modes every damned time to get to the brightest setting, which is the one I invariably use, and almost no one on Earth needs or uses the strobe mode.
That's what this flashlight does. It turns on, is nice and bright, and it turns off. No modes, no strobe. It has a button on the back end, rather than a twist mechanism, which is nice, as you can use it one handed. It seems to be made well, and it's slim and fairly light. It uses commonly available, easily found batteries (2 AAAs). I don't really have any complaints at all. You can focus the beam. I don't really need that feature, but it doesn't hurt anything or get in the way, so it's not a negative.
Bottom line, solid flashlight. The only way I could see this verdict changing is if it craps out on me, which it's so far shown no indication of doing.
