While they take a little getting used to, split mechanical keyboards can work wonders for your extremities over the long haul. This one comes from Kinesis: a leader in split mechanical keyboards for over a decade Read More
For anyone interested in a more in-depth review, Barnacules Nerdgasm put out a pretty thorough video of the Kineses Freestyle Edge gaming keyboard a little while back. This Pro version seems to be the same board just pre-configured. Check it out.

EDIT:
nvm, i found it on the site, it does require the respective tenting for palms and without.
so i need both the VIP3 pro kit and the V3 pro kit if i want to be able to tent with or without the wrist wrests?
Interstellar13Usually people prefer one tenting configuration or the other. If you would like to have the option to tent both with and without palm supports then, yes, you would need to purchase both the V3 Pro and VIP3 Pro since the "v-lifters" have different mounting points.
amrtaIf you want different switches, check out the Kinesis Freestyle Edge. It's basically the same thing but you can pick brown blue and red Cherry MX switches i believe. PLus it has blue LEDs to light your keys if you're in to that sorta thing. I love mine.
TylramThe main reason is that I want to easily replace the switches easily without having to desolder the switches from the board (which is very taxing).
Anyway, thanks for your input. It's nice to know there is other option :)
These guys make great keyboards. I have an Advantage that is still going strong after 10 years. Speaking of which, I would love to see an Advantage drop.
Add-on prices in the picture captions don't match the descriptions / checkout, e.g. $28 for the VIP3 pro kit in the captions, vs $35 elsewhere. Would be nice if the lower price were the correct price.
The VIP3 Pro kit comes with the palm pads, whereas the V3 Pro kit does not (they're both tenting options). I recommend getting the VIP3 Pro kit because the pal pads make using the KB soooo much more comfortable. Just be aware, the tenting hardware in the VIP3 Pro requires you use the palm pads so you can't change your mind .
