King Quilter II Longarm Quilting Machine

We view things differently. I really dislike when machines are only available from dealers. You can't price shop, you often can't even find the real price for machines when you have to go through a dealer because list prices are always inflated. When machines are sold through dealers you are forced to purchase from the dealer in your local area, or drive to another state and haul it home. Personally, I never contact the dealer for anything. I purchased my domestic machine used on eBay and have never had a bit of trouble. I have it serviced by a good repair person rather than taking it to the dealer. When I need information I turn to the internet. I suppose dealers can be good resources for answering questions but there are many places to get answers and the dealer is just one of them. I already have a longarm but if I were in the market for one I would definitely give this one a look. I did some reading out of curiosity and think it sounds pretty good, especially for the price. If you read carefully you will see that it does have a frame. The manuals are available online and look complete and easy to follow. Don't be afraid! You will find that you can do so much yourself, and when you struggle you can turn to other quilters or Youtube or quilting boards online.

Not much different than buying a used machine (like I did). Set it up myself and have had no issues with it. I think I might just take a chance on it.

The machine has a 10 year warranty, which is way, way more than I got with my top of the line Gammill. I HAVE heard of this brand, and it DOES have a frame. I live in KS and my dealer was in MN. Yes, it was a problem at first, since I knew nothing about longarming and there were no Gammills around. In fact, very few longarms around this area at that time. I got through it. Longarms are abundant now, and even if it is not the same brand name, lots of times another longarmer can help lead a person in the right direction. The company that will stand behind their machine with a 10 year warranty will provide a way to service their machines.
