Whoever said bigger is better wasn't talking about the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX Predator 1 TB USB 3.0 flash drive. Put your entire digital world within a device that fits in the palm of your hand and transfer data at blazing fast speeds measured in seconds instead of minutes or hours Read More
In 1996 I bought a 85 mb flash card for the HP200lx for $2300. That's $27 per mb, or $27000 per gb, or $27 million for a terabyte. So this drive is a bargain in that sense. The key for big data users is to have one convenient source and not have to waste valuable time shuffling discs. Your lawyer charges around $400 for his services, even more for surgeons, so there a lots of people who need this. For me the question is reliability.
What a RIDICULOUS price! Come on, who in there right mind is going to pay close to $800.00 on an item such as this? Unless your rich, no one else could afford it......
As someone else stated, I am impressed with the tech, and I guess if you are in the world's most unique occupation, say, for instance, someone who needs to get a Terabyte of data to a remote village somewhere in the Congo jungle, and an external is absolutely too heavy to carry whilst climbing steep mountains with your bare hands, then this is a good buy.
Either that or you're a Kardashian.
