The sanding part sounds tedious, but I guess if it makes a perfect cut there wouldn't be too much sanding involved?
Instructions say you should only go around once. The silicone rings go above and below the score line, and you place the bottle in ice water for a bit, then pour hot water in between the rings (over the scored glass) and the top pops right off.
Very clean lines after you find the right technique. I've been making flower containers, and can't really speak to drinking out of the final product. The edges look rough though, you'd need to round them with the sand paper provided.
I will revisit this guy again later in the week...might make a good vase for mothers day if I get a good cut (or spend some time sanding!)
