I got mine last week. The flame finish was tastefully done: deeply sculpted and painted a blue-gray that also carried on to the edges of the scales all around. Beautifully balanced and perfect for my XL hands. Flips nicely. The flames themselves impart some grip. And—of course, just like cars—flames make it go faster!!
Just got mine. First Kizer. I'm impressed. Flips incredibly smoothly and the beefy handle makes it a dream for an XL/XXL hand like mine. Probably the best slicing folder (with all the weight and control it offers) I have.
Just got the Kizer Compadre and so impressed by it! It's my second Kizer knife. The first Kizer I bought was the Kyre, with custom flame titanium scales. The Compadre is heftier then my ZT Hinderer 0560 and has slightly thicker stock for the blade. Here's some picks with similar knives in its non Massdrop price range. I'm also including the knife most people have in this hobby, the Spyderco Manix 2 Blue Translucent for size comparison.
The description reads, “Rounding out the folder is a milled titanium pocket clip for convenient tip-up carry on either side.” How is ‘either side‘ possible when there are no threaded holes for fastening the clip on the ‘show side’ of the knife?
MaxwellDemonicKizer has become my favorite knife company. Great price and an extremely good quality knife. They may be a Chinese company, but don't let that fool you. They get there S35VN, titanium and G10 from America and VG10 from Japan. I really wish I could join this drop. This knife is around $180 to $220 any where else on the net.
