Mine came in today, and it too was old stock (v2) and not the current version. That is what was shown in the Massdrop ad, but they have posted out of date pictures before. The issue I have is with the transition to the hollow grind, announced by Kizer back in March 2017 on bladeforums.com (https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/update-versions-of-rogue-escort-and-nomad-designed-by-dirk-pinkerton.1481090/). A Kizer representative said that the transition to hollow grind was after discussions they had with Dirk Pinkerton (the designer). Dirk Pinkerton was part of the discussion and he said the hollow grind makes it much easier to get scary sharp. Very quickly, Kizer transitioned back to the flat grind. Dirk mas not logged into bladeforums.com since July 2017. The new pocket clip is a preference thing, if you like milled clips, and it may improve the indexing of fingers holding the blade. That was an issue Dirk mentioned with the longer pocket clip on the Rogue v2. I do not know why Kizer away from the hollow grind, but the v3 blade will have greater strength for harder use. This is where I have a problem: did Kizer and/or Dirk Pinkerton identify a problem shortly after introducing the hollow grind? Is the old stock flawed and simply getting flushed out of the inventory on unsuspecting customers?

Thanks. I expect Massdrop will get this right. All the v2 knives should be replaced. It has been common for Massdrop not to update the pictures when the knives get updated.
