Description says: "Note: At checkout, choose between the Ki404B1 and Ki404B2. "
What's the difference between the two? If it's the coloring on the frame side, please let us know which is which. Also, does this model have the ball-bearing pivot-point, or is it a washer?
The Description is lacking terribly.
BlueTomGoogle is your friend there:
In a nutshell: Ki404B2 has polished blade, and Ki404B1 has satin blade.
Very easy to find the complete info (took me all of 30 seconds) but I agree this should have been included here.
BobrazWell, why it should be up to a potential customer to spend 30 milliseconds, much less 30 seconds, researching what the seller is trying to sell is beyond me, but thanks for the left-handed acknowledgement that the seller should've indeed provided more and better information to begin with.
Google is not my friend. I avoid using them every way I can because I despise their monopolizing effect on my online time. Further, while I appreciate that you are likely well-intended and potentially found the correct information on the difference between the models that I asked about, you are still just a stranger on the internet who would have no accountability to me if I accepted your information, ordered the model I wanted based on that info, and it turned out to be wrong. I still want Massdrop to answer the question, or, alternatively, an identified employee of Kizer.
BlueTomYou can click on the images under 'Model Options' which gives the exact item name next to the picture. Or just continue being an old man and whining about them gosh darned googles and their evil ways.
Paradigm84Why on Earth would anyone care that I value my privacy more than I value the "services" Google offers? Or that I value information from sellers and/or employees of the item being sold more than I value strangers on the internet, which BTW, the post that everyone is making a big deal about was wrong according to the first-hand-knowledge post by Dfunk above - the difference isn't a satin or polished blade, it's the coloring of the anodizing just like I asked about in my original post. Dfunk also answered my question about ball bearings or washers at the pivot-point. My questions were basic ones that no customer should ever have to find the answers to on their own if sellers are providing adequate information for customers to make an informed decision on. Why saying that out loud should bug you or anyone else is a mystery to me.
And just out of curiosity, where do the references to "grandpa" and being an "old man" come from?
BlueTomPeople don't realize Google's entire business model is based on selling information it collects from it's users, or using that data in marketing. Even still most people would rather live convenient than private lives; i.e. if Google can supply them with better search results, better ads, better entertainment, and eventually information they didn't even know they wanted, the repercussions are ignored. Panem et circenses.
If after understanding what using Google means, people are still willing to choose convenience, then that's fine. The key is being informed enough to make the decision.
