This knife is chunkier than it appears. It's EDC if you're not in a business environment. If you are carry it on the weekend. Materials are excellent. My blade took some work but it's excellent now. Flipper action is smooth and dependable. Kizers aren't at the level of WE, but fairly priced. Good knife.

Wished massdrop would offer more recent Kizer models, this seems like an old clearance model along with the preview few drops that comes after Guru. I'm only judging from the pivot screw, since this is a very old style pivot.

nice looking knife, hate assists though. also not a fan of coatings...
make a flipper version of that and I'd be all over this, especially if available without TiCN...

If it only had at least a 3.5 inch blade I'd love it.

Got my knife about a week ago. The good: crazy sharp out of the box. Scales look good and provide plenty of grip. Clip is strong enough to keep the knife in my pocket but springy enough to make putting it there easy.
The Bad: The spring assist rattles when the knife is open. Not that I'm going to be shaking it much but the first time I heard it I thought it had broken. The 'thumb studs' are more decoration than anything and several people that have tried the knife thought it was broken until I showed them the flipper on the back. Takes some getting used to, nothing more.
The Ugly: One of the screws along the spine backed out of the knife, thankfully when it fell out it was in my pocket. Not a drop of loctite on it. Put it back in and tightened it, but I will be pulling them all later one at a time to put some blue loctite on them to keep it from happening again.
Overall, not a bad knife for the money.

Got this yesterday.. let me start by saying it is a nice knife. Good medium size knife. The G-10 scales add class an good grip. The blade came very sharp. The grinds are even and it is centered perfectly when folded in the Handel.
Now the negatives. The assisted opening works Everytime unless you have a strong grip like me. You need to loosen your finger grip off the handle because it flexes enough to stop the blade from deploying. Once open the knife rattles bad from the spring mechanism that deploys the blade. It doesn't rattle when closed. The pocket clip for my preference holds the knife way to high out of the pocket. But does have a good grip to keep it from falling out. I say if they can fix these designs this knife is worth the purchase.

typhoonpcHaving to loosen your grip for it to open is an issue my friend had with his Kizer Vagnino. Luckily my Kizer Uprising didn't have the issue, although it was hard to open in a different way. (crazy strong detent and extremely uncomfortable flipper tab)
After a bit of exposure to Kizer knives, I'm going to say they make blades just fine, but they're still having some quality control issues with the opening mechanisms, possibly. In the case of the Vagnino, it seems not everyone was affected by the issue. I haven't seen much Uprising talk to see if my issue is common.

The designer must have studied with Rick Hinderer. Nice steel choice though.

After four months use as my EDC, I will say this is an excellent knife. My knife did arrive with a mediocre edge but it was easily remedied and has remained sharp with only the occasional work on a Spyderco TriAngle. The hinge responded to an application of TriFlo and remains smooth. No binding whatsoever. It's a little thicker than it appears, but that contributes to a solid feeling.
It's not my Sebenza but for $90, it's easy to recommend.

I got in on this. Wow Kizer has put some really good deals on here lately. I sure hope it's worth it. The steel is what really sold me on this one. I am thinking it is small than I like but let's see.

I really wanted to like this knife, but the user comments combined and the use of titanium for the liner lock convince me not to. It's too bad. Maybe it will be fixed in future versions.

Fair enough. The stick sounds like a valid point, I have not experienced it.

I know... What the heck are people using folding knives for? You know there are things such as fixed blades, hatchets, and even axes?
