It’s rare that you see CPM-S35VN stainless steel used on a fixed blade. But that’s just what makes the Kizer Pinkerton so special. Featuring a full-tang construction with a 4.75-inch blade made from this impressive material, the Pinkerton boasts excellent edge retention through all kinds of outdoor tasks. The blade is even longer than the handle, which gives you plenty of wrist extension and reach. Its shape has been influenced by the classic Scottish dirk, a thrusting weapon typically used as a side arm by Scottish highlanders. The handle, though relatively short, provides outstanding grip retention thanks to the textured G-10 scales. Also included is a Kydex sheath.

Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy (CPM), which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
