I've used it for lots of light duty stuff since I got it in October and it is still sharp enough to shave with. I really like the shape actually. The Tanto tip gives it a lot of strength for piercing. Slight curve really seems to bite into anything I'm trying to slice. I'm sure it will take some extra patience to sharpen and wouldn't recommend it to someone who plans to put it 2 heavy use but is inexperienced with sharpening tools.
