The Bad Dog has elements of a gentleman’s folder and a tactical knife. The almost hourglass-shaped drop-point blade can be used for anything from opening a letter to cutting rope Read More
Bring me the big boy version of the Bad Dog, please--I'd probably grab it at a price about -25% the generally listed price of $230 for the version with the unadorned handles (I like the rainbow skull of the Dorado and Flashbang models, but the blue bombs or whatver on the Ti Bad Dog look lame to me) if there was no other knife I was particularly lusting after. Now, if you could do it for, say, $80-$90, which is roughly comparable to the $250 listed price (at BladeHQ) vs the recent MD price of $99 for the mini Dorado...well...I might just buy two Bad Dogs.
This G10 version with the VG-10 blade? Meh. I have a budget G10 Flashbang and I wish Id have saved my $48. Nothing special.
However, the up-market,Ti-framed, Kizer-made, Matt Cuchiarra-designed pieces are some of my personal favorite production knives and I aspire to own them all, to tide me over until I have a few of his customs. Which, gods willing, wont be too far into the future if that used custom Dorado I have my eye on is in as good of shape as advertised...
As such, the same goes for well-priced drops of the mini Flashbang, and the Ti-framed version, of course, of the Dukes and the full-sized Dorado; dont personally have interest in drops for full-sized Flashbang or the very cool Trifecta as I have them already, but theyre also great knives. The Trifecta is a beautiful beast of a 4"-er blade.
