Well this is a 3+ year old light that has a lot of amazing competition in 2020. But $59 and $69 is a good price that can't be beat. Now some people are wondering why Klarus lowered the lumens rating between the original and the "L" model by 200 lumens and my GUESS is that the "L" model has a lot more light spill than the original model, which gives the appearance of having less lumens. We have seen this confusion occur before between the S2RII and the Baton Pro, even though the Baton Pro was actually rated higher than the older S2RII, people did not understand why it did not appear brighter and that's because the lumens were dispersed in a wider pattern. So Klarus avoids confusion by simply lowering the rating. Again, that's purely speculation on my part.
