WOW these suck balls. These sound worse than the $50 S4i-II's, and about the same as the A5i's I got for $30 on closeout. Zero bass. Drums sound like plastic spoons. Crystal clear but treble fatigue. I actually went back to using Plantronics Bluetooth PLT Edge Sport headphones these sound so bad.
Will try aftermarket from ear tips to see if a better seal helps.
HexCowboyHave not found aftermarket tips that fit or seal well. These are great for phone calls and worth about $50 for music. They fall out of my ears constantly. There are plenty of Chi-Fi earbuds like HiFiMan <$100, even <$50, that sound WAY better than these for almost any type of music.
The cable is tangle free and durable - so I'll give it that. I'd be PISSED if I paid $200 on Amazon for these, but at least I could return them.
HexCowboyUpdate:
1. The music SQ on these sucks for the price. (I own dozens of headphones & earbuds)
2. They make great headphones for calls. People say they can hear me clearly - slightly better than the $5 OEM Samsung S7 headphones. You decide if that upgrade is right for you.
3. Have been unable to get ear tips for these that stay in my ears. They are my backup phonecall earbuds now since I have to constantly adjust them in my ears and can't rely on them on the move without hands free.
HexCowboyI genuinely agree. The sound quality is poor. The sad thing is it will make me cautious from buying anything audio from MD. These are expensive (relatively speaking when compared to other ”deals”).
EDCjunkieYes. I have gotten three shitty pairs of earbuds from Massdrop now, and one great pair (for the $) which were HiFiMan. Also have gotten one junk knife, and some junk jewelry (1/4th items have been junk). Definitely worth being skeptical and cautious.
