I received mine today. I personally can't find a complaint. It's small, soft to the touch, compresses down reasonably well, is pretty comfy, and has that sleeve to add loft. I can't complain about its lowish loft because 1) it's a mini pillow for camping folks, 2) more loft would mean more to pack, 3) if you're using this for something like camping, you will absolutely already have a shirt or something you can put into the sleeve to adjust it to your liking.
AJFWGAnything down you don't want to keep compressed longer than you have too, granted this doesn't contain a lot of down. I use the included stuff sack when taking this guy out for a camp but it's too bulky for backpacking, only car camping for me.
at checkout it has a select an option button and wont let you check out until you choose the option which is a blank space...so what exactly are we choosing/ committing to in that BLANK space?
Seriously Klymit I would by this in a hot second if it fit over my large Klymit X pillow. Please work on that. IF I could just add, please make sure it has some good loft as well. I'd pay full price I don't care that would be awesome.
Does the 14x11 inflatable pillow fit in the 14x10 down pillow sleeve? Dimension seems close enough. Plus, it seems a farce to me to design this down one with dimensions so close yet not actually designed to use the inflatable.
scopeI may be wrong, but I think it may be too tight to fit a near-sized item in this. I have this pillow and a thin fleece folded seems to take up a lot of the pack space.
scopeFully inflated it does not fit. I put it in deflated and add a little air till I get the loft I need. The inflatable pillow is folded in half and only partly inflated. It's not the best solution but it works.
FuzzymuzzleMore suitable for car camping than ultralight (or even lightweight) backpacking for sure. They did mention "travel" but unless that travel involves suitcases and a carry-on it doesn't seem to be a good fit. Although it must be very comfortable I wouldn't want to carry it up and down the Blue Ridge in a pack. Outdoors is the best category.
I just got mine and it's nice but there is not as much loft as I thought there would be . Good thing it has the sleeve to add something else to boost it's loft.
FYI you can now get this for less at online retailers then it was sold for on the drop.
