I'm extremely excited to be bringing Knottery NY to Massdrop! I've been buying menswear accessories from them since 2012 and have found that they are great at delivering a solid product at a competitive price.
This product is particularly special, and I've been working to bring it to Massdrop as a presale item before it goes live on the Knottery site (and for a really fantastic price). As some may know, making knit ties requires a good amount of special equipment and because of that there are only so many places that make them. Most high-end tie companies outsource their knit ties to a few factories, and these come from the best one (in my opinion). This German facility makes knit ties for some of the best tie companies in the world (like one tie company that rhymes with 'snakes'), and those normally retail for around $150. These ties are supremely crunchy, dense, and really represent the best you can find.

IanAndersonWhat makes these knit ties different from their current $35 made in China versions or their older ones that retailed for $25?

McAdamsandwichGood question. I'll see if I can get Jay to jump in here and answer this himself. I haven't owned any of Knottery NY's MIC knits, but if I compare these to other MIC knits I've owned they're pretty different products (from an enthusiast standpoint). These are much thicker, denser, and 'crunchier,' and feel less like a floppy tube sock. The texture of these is truly exceptional. I've owned knit ties that retail from $25-195 and these compare well with the ones at the top of that range.

IanAndersonIan, what color tie is pictured at the top of the page and is it the same color as the one you're pictured wearing with your SS jacket?
