I've owned these boots for about two years now, and I have to say that they are easily my favorite pair of boots. They're more of a casual everyday boot than hiking boots. I have done a casual hike or two in them and they've been fine.
A few observations:
The treads are deep. They grip very well, but I end up with small stones stuck between the treads and I have to clean them out periodically.
They're very warm. So warm that it's impractical to wear them in the summer. They keep my feet toasty in the winter, though.
The waterproofing is great. My feet have never gotten wet, except when they've been too hot and sweat.
The laces that come with the boots aren't great. They end up bunching up after a while getting cut on the grommets. I replaced them with a pair of iron laces.
One of the pull tabs has torn partway recently (after about two years)
I've worn these regularly for two years and they still seem like they have plenty of life left in them. The soles are barely worn and the microfiber lining inside is holding up well.
Real nice. I find them to be more of a casual day boots rather than a hiking/trekking one. Build is pretty solid and well made. The inside is lined with comfy fabric which is kinda weird at first but you get used to it in no time as it makes the break-in period short and smooth.
Bought the tan ones a year ago to use as a nice casual boot. Seemed to fancy for hiking though I'm sure they'd do the job well. They hold up well against general ware & tear and are comfortable. My feet don't slip in them and they don't give me blisters. They also look good.
