Great headphone even compared to much more expensive ones
Really great sound out of these little headphones.
Its a shame that they aren't very comfortable, they really do require better ear pads if you want to listen to something for longer than like 30 minutes.
I've owned 3 pair (more on this) and I'm still positively surprised how good the sound quality driven from typical consumer to low/mid-tier DAC/amps. My primary usage is music and conference calls at work, and some mild PC gaming. The mic works fine (no complaints from others) though the cable is a little 'sproingy' which can affect mic positioning. One pair has a little difficulty plugging in far enough to get the mic working/detected on my laptop, but otherwise no electronics issues. Build quality is OK at best; my clear pair broke on me for no reason (that I could tell anyway) with the headband snapping at the sliding bracket/rail. I'm hoping the Drop pair have better plastic. Comfort is subjective; as on-ear headphones they can create pinching pressure but overall I have little issue with it.
These are an absolute must for any starting audiophile as it sets a very high quality-per-dollar bar! No regrets buying these.
TBH I don't have a collection that is $1000 of dollars and I don't have any critical listening headphones. I am not in a position to be able to afford a DAP so these have to work out of my computer. But think about it like this. For the money that these cost, I can get Apple EarPods. That is what I have before these. They have nothing on these in terms of the soundstage, resolution and separation. I also chose these over Samson SR850s for similar money.
These have a mic. So if needed I can also use these as a headphone for calls.
These are perfect for sitting at my desk and I can call on them for whatever I need them to do. For $25 I would expect concessions, if that is included luxuries and plastic, then I can live with that. This is the bare minimum of what you need for music. You can get more, but why would you if for the money and this is all you can justify spending. Buy these and be happy like me! hahahahah
Already recommended to friends!
Just starting to dip into headphones really, and I'm really impressed with these. For the price, they're definitely worth it, and I find myself coming up with reasons to use these over some more expensive wireless ones I have. I might try modding them to make them even better.
It sounded great while I was testing them, similar to or even better than the KSC75, but after a few minutes they started to really hurt to wear. I adjusted them, but I couldn't get them to fit comfortably.
Ended up giving them to my girlfriend and she loves them.
The headphones sound great, good detail and bass, the headband is okay. there is a rubber comfort strap. the foam on the pads are good but make my ears slightly tender over long periods of time and adjusting while wearing them may pull hair. but overall good product for price
