These headphones should work for my intended use: while exercising they should stay ON, as opposed to earbuds which perpetually fall OUT. However, when used along with motorized equipment(with iPod, or iPhone) they do not provide enough sound isolation to drown out the ambient noises. For $20, you can't expect that and I should have bought ear MUFF types if that was an optional use.

schreibThese are open-backed headphones. They aren't designed to isolate noise, they are designed to sound good.

schreibYeah this is an unfair review for these.. They clearly have holes in the back and they don't say anything about noise isolation on the drop page.

BlueCrownedmy gosh, can't you two read?! This was not an unfair comment. I openly admit that I should have bought earmuff type headphones if I had wanted that kind of capability. The point was simply to point out to others the fact that they did not shut out external noises very well so OTHERS would know. Quit whining.

schreibThose don't always shut out noise either though.. Over ear headphones can also be open back, so read carefully when you're looking for a suitable pair.

BlueCrownedSo True! I have a pair of Koss UR42i; an excellent headphone (though every square inch of the headphone and cable is seriously microphonic). Even though they're over-ear (barely) closed headphones and seal well to my head, they let in a ton of sound.

schreibIt's not a poor review. I did not criticize the product at all. It simply elucidates the capability of the item so others will understand what to expect.
