The reviews seem to be so mixed I stopped looking after half a minute's scrolling -_- (less extended on both ends of the spectrum, more extended in the treble, more crisp sound, too "calm" sounding, tuned for edm, bass is rolled off... all these in comparison with the porta pros)

phoenixsongI love a lot of different headphones for different reasons. 58x (modded via hi-fi heaven post), 6xx, he4xx, K7xx (only with a darkvoice), porta pro's with yaxi pads, and koss 95x are some of my favorites.

zep483I like the darkvoice best with them. Increases sound stage, and has a "j'en sais pas" factor. 789 sounds pretty clean. the geshhelli archel pro is also a solid option, sounds a bit on the cool side of neutral. For strictly vocals the latter was stood out, so if that's your thing... I wasn't a big fan with my Bravo Ocean or the Loxjie P20- was a bit stale on both of these (both tube pre's rather than full tubes).

zep483The amp is a big help. They are tonally, dynamically, and spatially improved with even my CMOY. They are 60 ohm which can be a bit hard for a phone to push.
