Retro in Style, Modern in Everything Else

Unveiled at Rocky Mountain Audio Festival, the Koss KPH30i is a lightweight, portable headphone with lots of stylish, retro-inspired appeal. It’s a descendent of the popular KTXPro1 and Pro35, now equipped with modern features like an inline microphone and remote. The open-ear design delivers smooth bass, clean treble, and an exceptionally spacious sound. Plus, this headphone’s 60-ohm impedance allows it to be easily driven by most portable devices, making it ideal for on-the-go use. The headband is adjustable with patent-pending suspension for a comfortable fit, and the rugged 4-foot-long cable has spring-reinforced strain relief for durability. The Original American Headphone Company

If we were to write a history of audio companies in the US, Koss would land on the first page. Not only did the Milwaukee, Wisconsin–based company make the world’s first stereo headphone, the SP/3, in 1958, it’s also responsible for the first self-energizing electrostatic headphone, the first dynamic headphone to deliver all 10 audible octaves, and a standard-setting infrared wireless headphone. Over the years, Koss headphones have made it onto Air Force One, into the Smithsonian, and onto the heads of such music icons as Neil Diamond, Tony Bennett, and Pete Fountain. Founder John C. Koss was inducted into the Audio Hall of Fame in 1979 and the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame in 2000.

I came onto Drop to look at some watches and I ended up buying these headphones. It's not the first time making a purchase other than watches. I've bought a lot of stuff! But that now ends. I haven't even opened up a Drop page to look at any new products. I'm done with Drop. It was always the watches that drew me into drop and now that they are gone, so am I.

I got a pair and they’re satisfactory for the price. It took almost a month to get them. I found that I could have gotten them from a popular web retailer in a day if I spent two dollars more...Read More
