Don’t really understand the hate
Pretty happy with how this set looks and feels on my KBD75. Yes, the caps are thinner than SP or GMK double shot caps, that’s to be expected. I only wish the ISO enter was purple as well. All my legends are clearly legible and none of my keys have crooked stems. For the price, this set will be able to fill most layouts, which makes it a great value if this is the aesthetic you’re after.

Edit: I took your advice and reached out to community support for a replacement. Unfortunately, they determined that the time-frame for reporting the issue has passed, which means they are not able to facilitate a replacement or return. MD-89695-4222448
I think this will be the last time I purchase keycaps from Massdrop.

bennettp123Pretty similar to why I stopped buying anything from (mass)drop. Sent me a blatantly defective-by-manufacture artisan, I was away traveling and by the time i got home and checked the package and reported it they just shrugged and gave the same response. For something which was a blatant manufacturing defect, completely unusable.

terrible space bar
caps are thin and you can see the leds shining through it. alphas look and feel nice but not amazing. space bar is either a bit too small or too big but it doesnt fit right and it scratches on the stabilizers making a very sticky and slow space bar.

I was really looking forward to this set for my keyboard made with a lot of other Drop purchases. I think it's not bad for the price, I like the look of them in person as much as in the pics color wise, I definitely like the profile. They feel different than my other keysets but it's just different, not bad necessarily. The plastic was a bit softer on the stems so some of the keys were harder to put on without lining up carefully (the space game me an issue and I had to use a flathead screwdriver to clear some plastic from the TAB). I'm pretty laid back and new in the hobby so I'm not sure some people who are very particular about keys would like this set, but it was a very good price so it kind of balances out a bit.
Biggest issue is that it came missing a key. I'm still waiting to hear from customer service on the issue.
Edit: Drop can't replace things like missing keys because they don't have extras, but I did get some credit instead. I'm further disappointed as the spacebar is actually 6 units and not 6.25. I can shove it on, but it messes up the stabilizer function. All in all I am just disappointed because this set looks so perfect and was endgame for this keyboard. Tbh I would buy another set of alphas if this comes around again and might looks for some second hand possibly. The spacebar issue should not have happened, but my missing key is just unfortunate bad circumstances so I'm not changing my star rating even though I am still sad about this week's later.

I bought alpha and small engine keycaps for my ID75 ortho. The keycap feels good to the touch, and the typing sound feels good to my ears as well. However, there are very slight twist in most keycaps at the stem, causing rows to be slightly misaligned/zigzag. Addtionally, I received two "6 ^" keys, and no "9 (" key. I asked the customer support to send me the missing key, but due to the way ordering works for the Drop, I won't be receiving it. I was promised $10 in credit for keeping the keycaps, but I didn't receive any $10 credit.

Nice finish, good looking set of caps, the shape didn't really do it for me, but that is very much personal. would recommend, but only if you particularly like the aesthetic.
