This questions my sound stupid but I am a bit confused, does a powered speaker like this one means I can plug my tv or a bluetooth recepter straight into it? And if so what are my options? I usually use a optic fiber soundcable, but there is also an RCA option. I can see there is a RCA connector behind the speaker, If I use this will the quality be good? Do I need something else, like an amplificator? Thank you!

LudoThe fact that it has RCA input means you can connect virtually any device as long as it has an analogue output (i.e. headphone jack or direct RCA out). To plug in something from a headphone jack, you would just need a 3.5mm to RCA cable and route the correct channel to the desired speaker (right or left stereo). A powered speaker refers to a speaker with the amplifier built into the unit, with passive speakers you would need a separate amp. Will it sound good? Kinda depends what you mean by good. The RCA input is unbalance, so it would not be suitable for studio use (but that's what the other inputs are for). For home audio use, with a TV or PC audio, I've no doubt they'll still sound great compared with your typical bookshelf speakers which will generally color the audio more. They're still studio monitors, even if the "studio" inputs are not used.
