This is a fantastic deal. Retail is more like $135 than $160, but at $99 it's still a really steep discount. I own two of these Anniversary Edition 3.5 L pots, as well as a larger 7 L model, and I use them all the time. Just made soft-boiled eggs this morning (about 8 minutes from turning on the stove until they were done). Rice, beans, root vegetables, chicken stock . . . I use this for everything, and it's very durable. Had to replace one of the valves after several years' use, and the silicone gaskets do need to be replaced once in awhile after they lose flexibility, but it's high-quality Swiss manufacturing. I don't have gas, so use an induction range to have better temperature control. The only problem is it takes so little energy to pressurize, on some stoves it's hard to turn the knob low enough. Lately I've been experimenting with containers inside the pot, to make dishes like quiche or cheesecake. Really amazing what you can do with this pot.
In the spirit of transparency: the only downside is you have to babysit the pot. Unlike the fancy InstantPot cookers that are filled with electronics to control time and temperature of cooking. But I'll bet the Kuhn Rikon cookers will outlast any electronic device you own.
