I, too, fell into the KZ hype and purchased the ZST a while back. I tried them out and thought they really, really sucked. Reviewers were raving about the great bass and mine had essentially none and were "treble cannons" as mentioned above. Disgusted, I threw them into a drawer. I later brought them out, burned them in for several days and listened again. Same result. I figured, what the heck, so I am out +/- $20, but I am stubborn and later on rolled a few tips. I found out the problem WAS the tips! Once I got a good seal, they sound pretty darn good and, for the price (which is important) are excellent. Giant slayers? No, but fun to listen to. Yes, the treble is a bit hot for my liking and the mid bass a little lean, but nothing offensive. I did run a few frequency sweeps and found obvious channel imbalances (hard panning from left to right) in the lower treble on up, but not really noticeable while listening to music.
I really don't need another pair, but will be interested in y'all's opinions - once you replace the tips, of course!

ridhuankimI have never bought tips only (aside from some from Comply - only to find I am not a fan of foam). I used spares from my Velodyne, Sony and NuForce IEMs, which all fit. I really do not know what brand any of them may be comparable to, but they are all soft and squishy. I could not get a good seal from the ones KZ provided as they are too hard and have odd sizes. Sorry I could not be of more help!

ridhuankimUse Comply Memory Foam tips. They seal better and also help tame the treble.

StanSuarez:) I am okay with treble and I get pretty good seal with silicon so I actually prefer them. I have oily face and ears so it is a complete seal lol. But the tip fell off and could not find it. Once it comes off it keeps doing that. Their silicon tip is of low quality compared to other stock tips from other iems. I will see which tips would fit and if they would stay put.

funambulisticI have a pair of ZST's with about 100hrs of burn in on them. I personally love the balance on these, but will admit they're pushed a bit to the ends of the frequency spectrum with a shallow mid. That's fine for me, since most of the time I'm EQ'ing to achieve that "Bowl" effect.
I have Comply tips on the way, as the things are too damn uncomfortable with the stock tips. I'll make an edit once I get them in.
